Love these calendars and get one each year! The fairy houses get more detailed each time. I just bought 5 extra to give as presents. Feels like having a flower arrangement on your wall. You can almost smell them sometimes. Lots of ideas for doing your own flower sculptures too.

The pictures are wonderful. I look at the current month's picture frequently and usually see something new. The problem for me is that when I write an appointment on it, it goes through to the month below. Next year I'll buy a calendar in person so I can determine the type of paper on which it's published.

I bought this for my 5 year old grand daughter. She loves fairies and is very artistic. She loved it and called me to thank me for it.I compared this one to others listed along with it, and they all had at least 3-4 of the same photos, so I stuck with this one. She can keep this for further ideas of how to use different mediums in art.

Love this calendar and I purchase one every year for the past 5 years. I keep the pages and hang them around my house, changing them for the months. The pictures are a beautiful escape into the fairy realm.

I was very disappointed. I have used the Seattle version of the PopOut map, the Paris version, and the NYC version and love them. I didn't think twice when I learned I'd be traveling to Shanghai. What a mistake. The map is so vague and leaves out so many smaller streets that it is impossible to be practical when walking in the city. When you can't read Chinese, you REALLY need a map with road details so that you can count blocks and architectural markings. Do not get this map... get the free map when you land inside the Pudong Airport outside of Immigration- it is the BEST city map.

This is compact and expands to a nice size. Was perfect for our trip to China

I chose this book as part of a 30 Days of Pride Book Review project. This is that review:Gideon has been best friends with Kyle almost as long as he can remember. So when Kyle and his girlfriend are having a fight, Gideon really has to examine why he feels somewhat giddy. He’s definitely not attracted to Ruby… but could he really be attracted to Kyle?This is a lightweight, cutesy story about wanting a friendship to blossom into romance. The writing is simplistic. The conflict and eventual story arc is pretty obvious. The resolution is what one would expect. I mean, there is nothing too innovative or surprising happening here.Still, at the end of the day, it's a feel-good story. It delivers what the genre promises. It is a schmoopy teen romance. So, you get what you pay for here. The boys are good friends, and you want to root for them through the genre requisite misunderstandings and blunders. They also don't make the girlfriend character a throw away person whose feelings don't matter… or ultimately a monster so the audience doesn't have to feel so bad if her feelings get hurt…. Which I appreciated.All and all it was a quick and pleasant read.There were a few things that didn't quite do it for me, however. I didn't find the characters to be totally consistent from one scene to the next. For instance, in one scene Ruby is the point of view character and even in her internal monologue she is totally cool with the information she just learned. Than 3 days later she expresses that she is totally not okay with it. And while she could have simply changed her mind, I think we should have seen a glimmer of misgiving, while we were in her head, if she really felt so strongly about it later. And another instance was, in the beginning of the book Gideon has just no clue that his being gay was even a possibility. It catches him totally off guard to be attracted to a guy. Then much later in the book, someone asks him how long he's known he is gay, and he replies, “I guess I always sort of knew, but didn't know how to deal with it.” That was not at all what was expressed in his thoughts when we were in his point of view. It just feels like clumsy characterization.Also, the “up until right this moment I thought I was straight but I was secretly totally in gay denial this whole time” trope seems to just be over represented as a story device for straight authors writing gay stories. I don't know, and maybe I'm not being fair, because I'm not saying this never happens in real life, but.... and maybe this is just me... it can feel almost fetishy(?) sometimes. I've seen it too many times with fanfiction authors writing two characters who have been established heterosexual in canon, because those characters just don't know any better and really they are meant to be together.Do I recommend it? If you like schmoopy romances? If you like light manufactured drama that wraps up neatly, ala’ Degrassi or Teen Nick? If you really want a best friend hoping for romance story? Sure. Go ahead. Read this one. It is lightweight, Fluffy, Harmless faire.So how does it do on this project's scales?The Queer Counterculture Visibility Scale is first, which determines how much light I thought this book shed on less prominent queer stories. I liked that we had a POV character that identified as bisexual. I also liked that there were some class issues being pointed out by a non-queer POV character. A handful of points there.2 out of 5 starsThe second scale is The Genre Expectation scale, which rates how the book compares to other books in its genre. Despite their opposite personalities; Kyle: basketball player/jock, Gideon: geek, brainiac they’ve become best of friends. Their friendship is one you’ll be envious of!This book primarily revolves around exploring sexuality and coming to terms with it. Kyle is bisexual and has been out to his family and close friends. However, he hasn’t told his girlfriend Ruby because he didn’t feel comfortable. He deals with finding ways to finally tell her this big secret. While, Gideon is exploring his sexuality and coming to terms with “being gay” when he starts developing feelings for Kyle.Sandy Hall is a writer who likes multiple POV. Similar to her sophomore novel, Signs Point to Yes this book focuses on the main characters, a sibling and Ruby - Kyle’s girlfriend. We get to know these other characters and see what they're struggling with as well as the boys.I enjoy the way Hall writes because she has fluffy Contemporary with a hint of dark/important topics. Been Here All Along includes a parent losing a job, surviving in the real world/life after college and a learning disability. I enjoyed these topics being implemented into the story because they are real life events and need to be seen in YA more! Adding a learning disability really hit me because it was relatable to my life and rare to see in YA books.Kyle and Ruby have a complicated relationship - there were times when it did feel toxic. Ruby isn't the nicest character and seems careless when it comes to others feelings. She gets jealous very quickly. However, she redeems herself in the end.This book takes a turn when Gideon and Ruby start acting strange which causes Kyle to become suspicious. It changes the story and the characters turn on each other. This really makes the story :)I loved Kyle and Gideon's story and how many strong messages were in this book. Gideon is a friend you'd love to have. He's super nerdy, kind and will force you to watch Lord of the Rings. Kyle is sweet and understanding, witty.I think this became one of my favorite Sandy Hall books since A Little Something Different. I highly recommend to pick up this LGBTQIA book inspired by a fan edition of You Belong With Me by Taylor Swift! Kyle and Gideon will quickly become your new OTP and you’ll ship them as hard as I did! I would read more of these boys in a heartbeat. I love them so much. Please pick this book up, it deserves to be read :)

I'm a sucker for Sandy Hall and her books. I had misplaced this one while on vacation and I was halfway through...I was dying to find out what would become of Gideon, Kyle and Ruby.I enjoyed the sweet romanticism of this book, and even though it was predictable, it was like watching your favorite ABC Family drama...it goes down like dessert...sweet and satisfying.My only regrets are that I felt Ruby's story could have been a bit more finished and I want to know more about Ezra, too. I feel like there was more depth there to be explored.Overall, it's a fast, cute book.

This is a great book. It's a wonderful coming of age, coming out, gay love story. It's heart felt and endearing. The author writes wonderfully and captures an essence within the characters she creates that makes the reader want to keep reading and reading and not put the book down! This is one of the best coming of age love stories I've ever read.Unfortunately, this is the authors ONLY gay romance novel. Her other few novels concern only straight characters, and although they are probably well written and good stories, in a world dominated by heterosexual imagery depicted in every and all genre's, I'm only inclined to give my time to reading gay fiction.

I really liked this story of Gideon and Kyle, trying to figure themselves and each other out. It's a good YA coming of age tale told in a heartfelt manner, with good characterization, which is so important. You believe in and love the characters. My one complaint is the rather abrupt ending. It felt like getting cut off in the middle of a sentence it was so abrupt. I think a good denouement would have been very helpful. But other than that, a very good gay YA tale. Recommended.

I read this book over 34 years ago, when "the new age" was not yet mainstream. When books of palmistry, astrology and other esoteric subjects were found in perhaps only one bookstore and called "Occult."A renewed interest in the subject of palmistry recently prompted me to look for this work by Cheiro. I was delighted to see that indeed it had been reprinted. And even more delighted to read the personal thoughts of Cheiro which surprisingly mirror many of my own - so many years later.For serious students of palmistry I feel this book is a must and for those simply interested in the subject as yet another look into the mysteries of life, they will not be disappointed by this easy to understand look at a very poignant subject.

I am a newbie and learning about palmistry .. I feel its a good book .. since i am very new to this so can't really say unless I read other books and compare it .. so far I have just read Cheiro's Palmistry for all and i liked that

I am horrible at writing reviews, but I try do so for books that I really love or that have greatly impacted me. Also for books that have been unfairly given poor reviews. This book has all three qualifications. For the poor reviews. First, to the person who said something about "profanity in Christian books offends me"...perhaps there have been some edits, but I didn't find any profanity. If suggested profanity in a Christian book that includes unbelievers offends you, then I shudder to think what happens to you when you are out in public. It sounds like you missed the entire point of the book. Perhaps the Truth was too much? As for editing, there may have been some typos. But I was too drawn into the story to be distracted by them.The storyline. So original and provocative, and so accurate of our world, shackled by sin and refusing to see the Answer in front of us. I was challenged by this story, and by the characters in the story, to spend more time listening to God's voice. Who are we to say that if we don't just listen, He won't perform supernatural events in our lives? "With God, all things are possible." Matthew 19:26b This doesn't necessarily mean that He's going to send angels to physically stand in front of us, but He can direct us in the tiniest ways that later become the most impactful. Just listening when he tells us to go talk to someone can mean a world of difference to that person, or maybe even to our own life.To the author. Your story is beautiful, and I want to encourage you. I thank you for allowing God to speak through you. I think He can use this story to touch hearts, whether they know it at first or not. Please keep writing. I hope that one day I can write as boldly and beautifully as you.This story is clean, with mild violence.

While Rebecca is running from a deluded man, Jason has found a mystery in a shipwreck that leads, by roundabout means and God's direction, to her.(Though reviews are inherently subjective, I prefer to provide some organization to my opinions through the use of a personal rubric. The following notes may contain spoilers.)Plot and Setting: 5 -- Plot has many unique elements, no major holes, and a sense of focus. Very well done, with a lot of moving parts and near misses--and these were not just plot devices, as each stop has purpose and built momentum toward Jason and Rebecca ultimately being free in Christ. Stellar. Setting is clear and believable, if a little hard for someone with no knowledge of South African geography to follow. Tons of traveling around, and it was hard to picture where the places were in relation to each other.Characters: 5 -- Relatable, realistic, interesting, dynamic characters. Even minor characters have depth, as do the relationships between characters. There are a host of characters, but because of the spiritual nature of the journey, even the glimpses we get of minor characters plumb the depths of the characters, all of whom are unique and seem very real. We learn most about Rebecca, who grew up feeling abandoned and unwanted; Stanton, who has built figurative and literal walls around himself to hide from pain; and Jason, who becomes obsessed enough with finding Rebecca that he opens himself to the promptings of the inner voice he thinks is evidence of insanity, and surrenders himself to God's purposes.Mechanics and Writing: 3.5 -- Frequent typos, punctuation issues, and word errors. Generally solid use of alternating POV, with a few errors. Skillful writing that adds to the story. (Odd but true.) The writing is great, with excellent tone and syntax, and some truly superb sections with powerful imagery. BUT a copy editor is badly needed to fix all the many, many errors. It seemed to mostly be punctuation and capitalization that were the problems, with occasional homophone errors. Also, some thoughts were italicized, but not all, which was irritating. Nothing that prevented understanding, the errors just annoyed me by taking my focus from the great story.Redeeming Value: 5 -- Well-developed, central, uplifting themes. Freedom through God's truth suffuses the whole book, demonstrated through the kindness and messages Jason delivers to people he meets along the way, as well as through Bible verses. Jason, with his soiled past and proclaimed hatred of God, is used by God in powerful ways. Loved his mother's illustration of the 100-rand bill still being worth the same no matter how crumpled or dirty. Sex, alcohol, violence, etc, are not glorified at all. We get mentions of Jason's past bad choices, but they are clearly bad; Rebecca was born to unwed teenagers, whose lives were difficult as a result; and we see Claude's insanity-induced violence, which Rebecca nobly forgives.Personal Enjoyment: 5 -- I loved it. It made me feel in all the best ways, and leaves me content and satisfied. One I'll definitely read again.

First, I have to say I had never read a book written by a South African author, nor a story set in that country before. Dianne Wilson made a pleasant first impression.The author definitely began her tale with a great "hook": Rebecca awakens from sleep with the intense urge to flee from her home. At that precise moment, someone is at the door of her bedroom, trying to force his way in. She climbs out the second floor window and hurts her shoulder, and then runs out to the road and is struck by a car. The kindly Christian couple who found her takes her to a hospital. But she doesn't remember who she is.Meanwhile, Jason, a college professor and night club DJ, has a strange dream of his own. He finds a box full of love letters in a sunken ship while diving and is determined to track down the lovers who penned them and the identity of the dark-haired, blue-eyes beauty in the portrait he found with the letters. He starts hearing a voice in his head, guiding him to a series of divine appointments that keep him on track, and He keeps seeing strange visions that his mother tells him are from God.Jason's quest involves his two roommates, whose personalities and senses of humor provide wonderful comic relief. While they get closer to finding the girl, her former employer's son is searching for her, too. However Claude's motives are more sinister. Her wants to force Rebecca to be his.Although resistant toward God at first because He let Jason's sister die, Jason eventually yields to the Lord's leading. He is instrumental in helping several others learn the truth and experience healing and freedom--including the object of his affection.I read this free eBook on my Kindle and was quite absorbed by it for three days. I did find several typos in it--primarily words omitted here and there, and a homophone that meant something entirely different than the author meant to say. I loved how she included words from Afrikaans and other South African languages with links to a glossary at the back of the book.If you are looking for a unique, but compelling story with romance, action, mystery, suspense and humor, this is delightful combination of all of the above. For a bonus, you get several love stories and a Christian message! Due to the subject matter, I would recommend that it not be read by anyone under the age of 16, though.

starts off very interesting and relevant. Then the rambling begins, and enough content contradicts modern science (to an absurd point), that sources to the author are questionable, even while keeping an open mind.Still that are some important topics brought up (and reiterated) that coincide with a bunch of other weirdness I have experienced, so def worth a quick read.

I originally read this book in college at the recommendation of some friends. I enjoyed it, but didn't make much of it or think about it for a few years thereafter. However, with the recent rise of shows like Ancient Aliens, and the continually developing evidence for civilizations that existed centuries prior to timeframes currently "accepted," I have been reading many more texts within this field of "pseudoscience" or "New Age" ideas.What stands out to me about Frissell's book is how many ideas are tied together in one coherent whole. Focusing upon UFO's, multi-dimensional existence, chakra, re-birthing, martians, Atlantis and much more, this text weaves a huge mix of unaccepted/controversial/pseudoscience/conspiracy notions into a single unified theory. My biggest complaint of the text is simply the lack of evidence Frissell uses to defend his ideas, relying upon the idea that we, as readers, simply know what he is saying to be true. This is not to say there isn't some scientific evidence scattered about, but for the most part, it is as if Frissell isn't trying to prove to non-believers that he's correct. It's more that he knows what he says is true, and it might be, so he just says it matter of fact without need to say more.Here's the one really interesting part of the text to me: While Frissell doesn't take significant time to defend his ideas, it seems to me that the more work done by scientists, pseudo-scientists, Egyptologists, geologists, etc., the more evidence seems to unveil that what Frissell says MIGHT be 100% correct. For example, more and more evidence abounds about the actual history of our human society being much older than ever imagined, and Frissell claims has been around for hundreds of thousands of years. New theories surface regarding Atlantis on the regular, and Frissell neatly outlines its existence, how it functioned, and why it collapsed. Even multi-dimensional ideas are coming to exist more often as people try to understand consciousness, the soul, and near death experiences. That said, this doesn't prove Frissell correct, but it certainly makes one curious as to what we will know a hundred years from now, and whether Frissell (among many others in his field) were just 100% accurate in their current knowledge.To me, one of the lasting pieces of value in this text were the breathing techniques he outlined in detail. I use the Christ Consciousness breathing often, as a tool for resetting myself and reconnecting with a higher power. I feel that as I utilize Yoga and breathing more often, I will certainly reference these techniques with regularity.All in all, "Nothing in this Book is True..." at its least provides a supremely interesting way of seeing the unexplainable explained neatly and coherently, even if you choose to disregard it all as rubbish. At its most, it provides a detailed explanation of exactly how things are and have always been. Either way, it is very accessible, well-written, and certainly thought-provoking.

Frissell's work is easier for me to interpret the Drunvelo's. I appreciate the work that went intowriting it.

I realize that Bob Frissell refers to all the information that Drunvalo Melchizedek teaches in his Flower of Life books, but Bob Frissell is the better writer. The information is easy to follow and doesn't jump around. My issue with Drunvalo's book is that he will mention something in a paragraph and then the very next line says he's not going to get into that topic right now but he will come back to it later. It just doesn't flow. I appreciate the work that both of these men do, but if you really want to understand the teachings I would recommend starting with the Frissell books.

If you are a `Coast to Coast listener or just interested in theUFO's you will defiantly enjoy this book. The author takesan entertaining romp through XFile type stories with an attitude thatmakes you question if this guy really has some inside informationthat the secret government doesn't want you to know.The title is perfect for this book. I really enjoyed it until the lasttwo chapters which are less insightful and sort of boring.Getting through the explanation of the "Secret Geometry"can make your eyes glaze over as well.

I love this book so much, that I ordered two more copies to give to friends as gifts. It ties everything together and it's such an easy read that 7 chapters flew by the first tie I opened it. Love it!!

If there's any truth to this book, which everything thus far that I have researched seems to corroborate it, then reality is definitely more intriguing than fiction! I've read this book twice already and I still can't wrap my head around it.
